CTET Exam Date 2024

The CTET December 2024 Exam will be held on 01st December 2024 (Sunday) in offline mode. The CTET Paper II will be held in the morning shift from 09:30 am to 12:00 noon & Paper I will be held in the evening shift from 02:30 pm to 05:00 pm.

CTET December 2024 Application Process and Fees

Candidates interested in applying for the CTET December 2024 exam can do so through the official website at ctet.nic.in. The application fee structure varies based on the category of the candidates and the number of
papers they intend to appear for:

For General and OBC (NCL) Candidates: Rs. 1000 for one paper (either Paper-I or Paper-II)
Rs. 1200 for both papers
For SC, ST, and PWD Candidates: Rs. 500 for one paper
Rs. 600 for both papers

CTET Exam 2024 Eligibility Criteria

The CTET exam is structured into two levels based on the teaching positions:

Primary Teacher (PRT) – Level-I: Candidates must have completed their higher secondary education (12th grade) along with a diploma in education (D.Ed), Junior Basic Training (JBT), Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed), or a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed).

Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) – Level-II: Candidates should possess a graduation degree along with a B.Ed or B.El.Ed qualification.


CTET December 2024: Exam Pattern

The CTET consists of two papers:
Paper-I: Focused on primary education (Classes I-V), assessing candidates’ understanding of child development, pedagogy, language I and II, mathematics, and environmental studies.

Paper-II: Designed for upper primary education (Classes VI-VIII), covering similar subjects but with an emphasis on content knowledge relevant to teaching at this level.
