How to Reset Microsoft Edge Browser to Default

If Microsoft Edge is acting up, resetting it to its default settings can resolve performance or configuration issues. Follow these simple steps to reset Microsoft Edge on Windows 11/10.


Reset Microsoft Edge via Settings

  1. Open Microsoft Edge:
    • Launch the Edge browser.
  2. Go to Settings:
    • Click on the three-dot menu (...) in the top-right corner.
    • Select Settings from the dropdown.
  3. Navigate to Reset Options:
    • In the left-hand menu, click on Reset settings.
  4. Restore Default Settings:
    • Select Restore settings to their default values.
    • Confirm by clicking Reset in the pop-up window.

Reset Microsoft Edge via Windows Settings

  1. Open Windows Settings:
    • Press Windows + I to open the Settings app.
  2. Go to Apps:
    • Navigate to Apps > Apps & features.
  3. Locate Microsoft Edge:
    • Scroll down or use the search bar to find Microsoft Edge.
